A partnership built on trust and vision – that’s how Youssef Benslimane sees airBaltic.

With 18 years of experience in the aerospace industry, Youssef began working with airBaltic in 2020, a partnership during which he managed the successful delivery of the airline's latest 20 aircraft. Of all the collaborations he has overseen, he says this one truly stands out.

“Our journey with airBaltic began as a launch customer for the A220-300, and since that first delivery, the partnership has grown into something remarkable,” he reflects. For him, airBaltic is more than just a customer: it’s a dedicated ambassador for the aircraft, a partner defined by trust, innovation, and mutual respect.

One moment that stands out is the milestone delivery of the 50th aircraft – a symbol, he says, of “the outstanding vision, competence, and professionalism of the entire airBaltic team.” Working alongside leaders like Pauls Cālītis, Andris Vaivads, Jānis Bitenieks, Tatjana Nikankina, and many others has been both a professional highlight and a personal source of pride. “airBaltic embodies a sense of family and partnership that goes far beyond the typical customer-supplier relationship.”

The airline’s bold move to commit to an all-A220 fleet continues to inspire Airbus.
